We work hands-on, one-on-one with people, augmenting and leveraging abilities, in ways to accommodate for disabilities. We provide a personal touch to determine and remove barriers, using adaptive aids, techniques and ideas to enhance quality of and independence in daily life -- in home, school community and vocation. We emphasize technology solutions. with custom cognitive and mechanical adaptation, but seek best solutions -- the most appropriate and least restrictive ones, whether they are high tech (e.g., customizable keyboards, electronic communication devices and software), mid tech (e.g., touchscreens, extensible speaking devices, digital voice recorders), low tech (e.g., switches, multi-choice switches, fixed or limited speaking devices, electronic calendars), or even no tech (e.g., organized sets of pictures/symbols, pen, paper, household items, possibly modified).
Our broad experience, within a wide range of circumstances, technology and techiques, enables innovative, synergistic application of standard, off-the-shelf artifacts, hardware and software where feasible, with modifications, adaptations ot specialized devices and programs, as necessary.
We provide services directly, or via our relationships with schools, organizations such as THHS and TWC, and programs such as CLASS and HCS.
